Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.

Job responsibilities and functions:

  • Collect and provide accurate, clear data to team members to support reporting requirements and for business, internal risk, and corporate partner inquiries (including regulatory responses for RAR, Regulators, and Auditors)
  • Assist in development and enhancement of MIS reports and tools, including transition from Excel based reporting to Tableau
  • Partner with the appropriate IT teams to evaluate and improve environment for Credit Risk data in Data Warehouse and Credit Risk Data Mart
  • Maintain accurate and complete report documentation, requirements and change control
  • Collaborate with Wells Fargo Auto Credit Risk teams on ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Business Partners to facilitate changes in the reporting portfolio as dictated by business or regulatory changes.
  • May partner with cross enterprise risk analysts in development of common reporting strategies
  • May be responsible for process production, data reconciliation and documentation in alignment with policy governance.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in risk reporting, analytics, or a combination of both; or a Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, operations research, mathematics, engineering, or business

Desired Qualifications

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative discipline
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • 2+ years of SAS experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working in Consumer Lending (auto industry), primarily Credit Risk
  • Experience with data visualization software- preferably Tableau or SAS VA
  • Ability to learn and work independently while managing time and priorities efficiently
  • Strong conceptual and quantitative problem solving skills and demonstrated ability to think creatively
  • Dedicated, enthusiastic, self-driven and performance-oriented; possesses a strong work ethic
  • Ability to build strong business relationships
  • Demonstrated time-management skill and ability to work independently on multiple tasks and/or projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparing reports suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience using SAS programming to manipulate, manage and work with large databases
