    TITLE: Paraprofessional High School – Credit Recapture

    SALARY: Classified Salary Schedule - Level 4

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Ability to relate well to both students and adults
    • Good written and oral language skills
    • Passing Score on Parapro Test or 60 credit hours
    • Ability to understand and provide supplemental help to students
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and detailed records; computer experience preferred
    • Ability to manage computer based learning enviorment (Edgenuity, training provided)
    • Self motivated with minimal supervision
    EDUCATION:
    • Used in classrooms to provide instruction, meets NCLB requirements with AA or 60 hours. Supervised and directed by a certified teacher.
    REPORTS TO: Building Principal and/or supervising teacher

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Manage credit recapture process through online program, Edgenuity
    • Track student progress, monitor student behavior
    • Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior
    • Under the direction of district / school personnel, provide supplemental support to identified students, including following all IEP’s and 504 Plans
    • Assist in student supervision before school, during lunch, and after school
    • Meet with counselors regularly to determine student needs
    • Supervise and monitor students as needed
    • The District reserves the right to amend this job description as necessary
    EVALUATION: Annually by the Building Principal

    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Set annually by the Governing Board
