Job Description

Arizona Federal Credit Union is seeking a Licensed Financial Sales Assistant. If selected for this critical role, you will be responsible for credit union accounting functions:

  • Enter investment trades and provide service support for all investment related products

  • Prepare client letters, written and email communication, and other administrative support duties as requested by investment representatives

  • Respond to employee referrals and maintain referral tracking, supporting the production of financial advisors by taking incoming calls and making outbound service calls

  • Schedule and support ongoing staff training in partnership with investment representatives by preparing informational product material to deliver to staff and leaders
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, members and retail staff

  • Manage assigned projects (e.g. Quarterly client newsletter), including: planning, tracking, execution and implementation

  • Maintain professional standards and adhere to Arizona Federal’s values

  • Conduct an annual procedure audit

  • Participate and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner

  • Perform all other duties as assigned

Skill / Requirements


High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 years’ experience in the investment services industry. Series 6 or Series 7 license. Knowledge of computers and software applications in Windows, Word and Excel. Ability to type 40 words per minute. Ability to read, write and speak in English. Ability to read, analyze, interpret and document technical procedures and financial reports. Ability to write business correspondence in response to sensitive inquiries or complaints. Proficiency in grammar, proofreading and sentence structure. Ability to communicate verbally both in person, on the telephone and through email. Ability to speak effectively to members regarding common inquiries. Ability to define situations, document data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to calculate rates, ratios and percentages.


Series 65 or Series 66 licenses preferred

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance; use hands to finger keys accurately when using calculator machines or computer keyboards; reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision and color vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to travel independently to department and branch locations.
