Position:              Leisure Branch Manager

Reports To:         Regional Branch Manager

Hours:                  Monday- Friday, First Shift

Objective: To ensure a profitable retail branch operation consistent with company standards in the areas of customer service, agent productivity, and operating procedures

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Attend and/or coordinate training for vendor on global distribution system.

  • Keep abreast of airline rules and regulations, preferred vendors offerings.

  • Special projects or other duties as requested by management.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • Manages profitable operations through monitoring branch staffing, customer service, productivity and quality levels on a day-to-day basis.

  • Capable of performing all tasks of a leisure retail travel counselor, and does so when not involved in management activities.

  • Authorizes and monitors biweekly payroll and makes corrections as needed

  • Works with the Accounting Department and Financial Analyst to ensure the accuracy and timely manner of deposits, payments, and other accounting issues.

  • Order (or delegates) supplies and ticket stock.

  • Involve staff and coordinate network and outreach to local community to increase business.

  • Solve all computers and phone systems issues.

  • Monthly Inventory of Amex Financial Log sheets, ordering AMEX Financial products.

  • Responsible for the management and monitoring of staff issues.

  • Keep VP of Retail Sales and Regional Manager fully informed of matters of significance.

  • Communicates areas of accountability and performance expected to assigned personnel.

  • Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conducive to maximum employee morale and productivity.

  • Researches and provides solutions to travel related problems.

  • Delegate staff to perform daily review of global distribution systems queues.

  • Review financial Reports for accuracy, changes, or improvements, and correct problems identified as a result of analysis.

  • Regular and dependable attendance is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional travel is required.

  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/ or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

  • Job requires employee to sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area.

  • Repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/ or fingers.

  • Typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers.

  • Must be able to comprehend instructions, interpret documents, and apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks.

  • Ability to understand the meanings of words and effectively respond, analyze information and write reports, and comprehend complex issues and communicate effectively to diverse groups.

  • Job requires employee to preform basic arithmetic accurately and compute rates and percentages.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally (verbally and in writing) as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
